Located at the lower back of the brain, the cerebellum controls motor, sensory and cognitive functions. In this section, large specialized Purkinje cells (green) interact with smaller granule cells (pink). The blue nuclear staining shows numerous cells present in the cerebellum. This image depicts the beautiful and highly organized structure of the cerebellum.
